Ellah Wakatama

Ellah Wakatama Allfrey, OBE (born 1966), is a prominent London-based literary editor, broadcaster, and critic serving as Editor-at-Large at Canongate Books and Chair of the Caine Prize for African Writing. A former deputy editor of Granta and senior editor at Jonathan Cape, she is known for her work in publishing, her commitment to African literature, and for being named an OBE for services to the industry.
